Scentwork, The Sport For Every Dog

Dogs rely on scent far more than sight or hearing. Their sense of smell is approximately 100,000 times stronger than that of humans. Pawsitive Dog Behaviour (PDB) recognises the power of scentwork to build trust, teamwork, and help dogs engage in behaviours that building resilience. Our mission is to improve the lives of reactive dogs and their families.

Natalie and her team are dedicated to improving the lives of reactive dogs and with the World Scent Dog Association (WSDA) certification. This activity is incorporated into all our behaviour programmes, tailored exclusively for reactive and aggressive dog families that need help that works for them.

Pawsitive Scentwork Solutions: Helping barking, lead-pulling, reactive dogs

If your dog barks, pulls on the lead, reacts badly in some situations when on a lead, this is a community group working together through similar issues with their dogs, under the guidance of Executive Behaviour Assistant, Kym and Holistic Dog Behaviourist, Natalie, The founder of Pawsitive Dog Behaviour.

Scentwork for

Reactive Dogs

Dogs use sniffing and the information they learn from that to manage their emotions and behaviour. Scentwork helps prevent the need for overreacting, e.g. jumping at strangers, lead pulling, barking, and even biting, because it gives them the time they need to process how they feel and self-regulate instead of automatically reacting.

Scentowrk Builds:

  •  Focus
  • calm behaviour
  • Resilience to stress
  • Better  behaviour choices
